Renault is participating in the first edition of the Mondial Secours et Protection, an international exhibition dedicated to firefighters and rescue operators, taking place from September 30 to October 3, 2026, at Rochexpo in La Roche-sur-Foron, France. The company will showcase a selection of vehicles and equipment that highlights its 15-year collaboration with emergency services.
The Mondial Secours et Protection 2026 is supported by the French National Federation of Firefighters and will host the 132nd National Congress of French firefighters. The event will feature an international professional exhibition for rescue operators, civil security, and risk prevention, as well as an area open to the public with presentations and animations in La Roche-sur-Foron and Annecy.
Renault’s Involvement in the Mondial Secours et Protection
Renault will be present at the exhibition with its RenaultPro+ stand, number 1605, where it will display its latest vehicles and equipment developed in collaboration with authorized converters. Since the beginning of 2026, Renault has sold 1,023 ambulances in France, making it the market leader with a 60% share. Approximately 75% of the rescue and assistance vehicles used by French firefighters are Renaults, confirming the company’s role as a historic partner of emergency services.

The vehicles on display at the Renault stand will include the New Trafic E-Tech Electric, which was elected Van of the Year 2027, and a Master ambulance converted by TIB for Disneyland Paris. A Renault 5 E-Tech Electric from the SDIS 13, the departmental fire and rescue service of Bouches-du-Rhône, will also be on display, along with a demo vehicle showcasing the passive safety devices installed on the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric and the New Twingo E-Tech Electric.
A prototype of the Renault 4 converted by Qstomize for firefighters will be exhibited on the esplanade des constructeurs at Rochexpo. In the Software République area, visitors can discover the Vision 4Rescue, a technological demo vehicle developed by Renault Group and its partners, based on the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric. This vehicle is equipped with around 20 interconnected solutions for rescue operations, including a onboard surveillance drone and secure communication tools.
Renault’s Collaboration with Firefighters
Renault and French firefighters have been collaborating since 2010 on a long-term technical partnership for road safety, officially formalized in 2012 with a convention signed with the French National Federation of Firefighters. The goal is to save precious time for rescuers after accidents, particularly with electric and hybrid vehicles. Renault contributes to the training of firefighters in over 19 countries and has made 4,000 recently produced vehicles available to rescue services for training exercises.

Renault has also developed pedagogical tools dedicated to extraction activities and has a lieutenant colonel from the SDIS of the Yvelines department seconded to its engineering department to share the needs of rescuers from the initial project phases. The company’s innovations, such as QRescue and Fireman Access, have been developed in collaboration with firefighters to facilitate rapid and safe interventions.
QRescue allows rescuers to access the rescue sheet and technical information necessary for a quick and safe intervention via a QR code, while Fireman Access enables direct access to the traction battery of electric vehicles, reducing shutdown operations in the event of a fire to just a few minutes. Renault made the patents for this innovation available free of charge to the entire automotive industry in February 2025 as part of its Human First program.
On October 1, at 12:00, representatives from the SDIS 13 will visit Renault to officially take delivery of ten Renault 5 E-Tech Electric vehicles ordered earlier in the year. The event is part of the public initiatives organized by Renault at the safety village in Annecy, where the company will make three recently produced vehicles available to the SDIS 74 for practical demonstrations.
