Triumph has introduced three new models of its classic Bonneville line in India: the Bonneville T40, the Bonneville T40 Black and the Bonneville T4. The launch expands the brand’s presence in the domestic market.
Pricing and availability
Ex-showroom prices in Delhi start at Rs. 2.55 lakh for the T4, while the T40 and T40 Black are listed at Rs. 2.80 lakh. These figures place the new bikes at the lower end of Triumph’s Indian price range.
Technical specifications
The T40 models keep the retro silhouette with a round headlamp, teardrop fuel tank and spoke wheels. Under the classic skin sits a new 349cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine delivering 29 PS and 31 Nm of torque.
A six-speed gearbox pairs with an assist-and-slipper clutch, and the manufacturer claims a top speed of 132 km/h. Front suspension uses a 43 mm fork, while twin rear shocks offer seven-step preload adjustment.
Braking is handled by a 310 mm front disc and a 255 mm rear disc, both linked to dual-channel ABS. The wheel package includes an 18-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheel.
The T40’s cockpit features a circular TFT display with smartphone connectivity, navigation and music controls. Riders can select from multiple ride modes, engage cruise control, and benefit from traction control, cornering ABS and a USB charging port.
The bike carries a 14-litre fuel tank and weighs 195 kg. Seat height is set at 790 mm, with ground clearance of 165 mm. An optional low-seat accessory can lower the seat to 770 mm, improving reach for shorter riders.
Colour options for the standard T40 include Tangerine Orange paired with Meridian Blue, Aegean Blue with Fusion White, and Fusion White with Phantom Black. The Black variant mirrors these choices but adopts a darker overall palette.
The Bonneville T4 shares the same engine output and chassis as the T40 but trims back electronic aids. It retains a basic LCD display with turn-by-turn navigation and dual-channel ABS, while omitting cornering ABS, cruise control and configurable traction control.
Ride modes and a USB charger remain standard on the T4. The model is offered in Phantom Black, Carnival Red and Competition Green.
Bookings for the T40 open on October 7, 2026, at 4:30 PM, with deliveries slated for the second week of November 2026. The T4 will begin shipping in the second week of January 2027.
